New Girl Tomato
Set the garden stage for early tomatoes by adding New Girl to your planting roster. This early-fruited variety boasts outstanding flavor for an early tomato, perhaps better than Early Girl, but decide for yourself. The medium-size fruits offer an ideal size for slicing onto sandwiches or cutting up into salads. Or just slice them onto a plate with a drizzle of olive oil and fresh chopped basil for a taste treat. Fruits resist over-ripening, so keep longer with no decrease in flavor after reaching the fully-ripe stage.
Plants bear fruit all season long—well into fall—and also make a great fall-planted crop in all regions. Plants definitely need staking; this tomato grows as tall as 6 feet. The indeterminate vines are resistant to verticillium wilt (V) and fusarium wilt race two (F2).
