Bonnie Mega Pumpkin

Taller than it is wide and with a stem that makes a good handle, this is our Mega Pumpkin, otherwise known as Aladdin. It is a big, beautiful pumpkin. There’s no way you’ll overlook it in the pumpkin patch. The vines are fairly resistant to powdery mildew; they grow long and vigorous to support the fruit. Space plants 5 feet apart and let the vines mingle. Before long the soil will be too shaded for any weeds to grow. For most efficient use of space, place plants near the edge of the garden so the vines can scamper in unused margins. This plant needs space. It is not recommended for containers unless you have a large 30-gallon pot and a big enough patio for vines to spread 8 to 10 feet. If you do, go for it. Just be sure to keep it watered.
